Name: Julius Rucker
College: Southern Oregon
Position: Safety
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 205

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Julius: Instinctive, competitor, physical.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Julius: I’ll be working on performance training including working out twice a day on the field and in the weight room.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Julius: Eric Berry. We both have great closing speed and will lower the boom when given the opportunity and also have the ability to be a ball hawk with incredible instincts.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Julius: First, I look at the offense formations. Then, I look at uncovered lineman for run/pass and their tendencies and habits, which usually will tell everything before its even happened.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Julius: What separates me from other players is my football IQ of the game and how I am able to anticipate plays pre-snap and make a play.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Julius: Off the field, my character never changes. I always stay positive no matter the outcome and I love to make others better around me, not just on the field, but in life. I love this game and my work on the field would show just that. I am not a person that talks a lot, I would let my play/craft speak for itself and be a good influence for today’s youth.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Julius: I want the opportunity to achieve a life long dream and goal! I do it because I have always loved this game. I will always find ways to continue to get better. If you give me a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
