Name: Darius Hicks
College: Lincoln
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 214

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Darius: Versatile, Elusive, Homerun Playmaker.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Darius: I am training in Georgia with GTA (Georgia Training Alliance).

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Darius: I would compare myself to AJ Green. He can put his body in the craziest positions to make a play and he’s tall/lengthy but has the ability to easily make defenders miss, like myself.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Darius: When studying film, I look for defender’s tendencies, so I can see when they’ll try to hard press and how they play their zone and off man techniques. I also pay attention to the alignment of the LBs to get an idea of what coverage the defense may be in.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Darius: I’m able to play at any receiver spot. I’m not limited to slot or outside and I’m capable of running any route in the tree at my size. I can also play multiple positions.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Darius: On the field, I like to keep a positive attitude and I do a good job of not letting my opponents get in my head. I also like to keep my teammates positive and not let anything shake them out of their game. I also carry that vibe off the field with my teammates. I like to keep them laughing and keep people positive in general. I do the same away from football.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Darius: I am able to play and perform at whatever position or spot you put me at on the football field. I live for football and am willing to learn whatever I need to not only have success for myself, but to help a team win games and make plays, so we can achieve that ultimate goal of winning it all.
