Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Heading into my final year as a college football player, I was looking to become a better leader in terms of being vocal and continuing to set a great example on and off the field. One of my most important goals was to make an impact on the game every time I stepped out on the field.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Relentless, Tough, and Physical.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I am thinking of training with Jim Kielbaso when it comes to the offseason for the draft.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I am studying film, I am looking for a player’s strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. Also, I like to look for indicators that tell you what and where the play is going and the different kinds of blocking schemes players teams use. When I watch myself, I look to see if I have done my job. I look at my feet and hands to see if my footwork is good and if my hands are punching violently on my target. I also see if I have gotten separation, so I can rip off and make a play or affect the play in any way I can.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I think what separates me from other players is my mentality and effort, along with my work ethic and well as my passion and drive to be a great player. I feel as if I’ve been through a lot in my life to get to this point and none of that could break me and I use that as my motivation to become the best player and person I can be.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What I will bring to a team is a dominant mentality and leadership both on and off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
If you give me a chance, I promise you will not regret it!
