Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Just finishing up my college career strong by helping my teammates get a SWAC Championship and becoming Celebration Bowl Champions. This season I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and focus on becoming more of vocal leader because in the past, I was always more of an lead by example type of guy. I just wanted to come into this season leaving everything on the field and having no regrets after it was all over with.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Hungry, Confident, and Aggressive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Going back to my hometown of Baton Rouge, LA and just work on perfecting the things that’s gotten me where I am today.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I look for the little things while studying film like which foot the Receiver puts up while running certain routes. How aggressive he is while attacking the ball in the air and does he come off the ball hard every play even when it’s a run play, things like that.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me the most from other players at my position would have to be my length, I have very long arms which makes it tougher for Receivers to get away from me and around me. My length also makes it tougher for the Quarterbacks to fit the ball into those small windows of the throwing lanes.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a very hard worker and team player who hates to lose. I’m very disciplined and I lead by example. I just want to show the kids out there that it doesn’t matter where you play at, you can make it and that your dreams are never too big.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Whoever gets me will get a guy who is hungry, ready to work hard and will be the steal of this 2018 draft class.
