Q: How exciting was National Signing Day for you? What did you do?

A: National Signing Day was very exciting for me! I had been waiting for that day since I was 6 and I saw my cousin sign with PVAM. The school made a huge event for us. All of the students came to see me sign and I addressed the crowd there. My family was with me and my dad was working out of town, so he was able to Skype and saw it live too. It was just awesome.

Q: What made you ultimately sign with TVCC?

A: My brother was offered by Trinity back in 2009. We visited the campus and I told my dad I was going to play for this school someday. I have always wanted to be a Cardinal and this is like a dream come true for me.

Q: What other schools were you looking at?

A: I was committed to Montana State, but I also took a look at Navarro. I have a lot of power 5 schools that I visited, but I am going where my heart is, and that’s Trinity.

Q: Are you ready to make the transition from high school to college?

A: I am mentally prepared for college football, but I have a lot of work ahead of me to get ready physically. I have been working for this most of my life, so through hard work and dedication, I know I will be ready when we start camp this summer.

Q: How would you describe your style of play?

A: My style of play is hardcore nasty football with some fancy foot work. I’m going to pound you for the entire game, but I am very light on my feet, so you are not going to get around me.

Q: What is the biggest asset you will bring to the Cardinals?

A: I am able to play any position on the O line and D line. I am also gifted at reading the defense. I know what you are doing before you do it and I will shut you down.

Q: As an offensive lineman, how much do you love to hit people?

A: I love contact. That may sound crazy to some, but it is what I live for on the field.

Q: Would you rather have a huge pancake block, or a normal one that gets your running back a first down, why?

A: I always love to pancake my opponent on every play. I want to dominate the other guy and tell him about it the entire game. This will break him down mentally and then I can have my way with him.

Q: What are your thoughts on the term “Big Ugly” given to players at your position?

A: Big Ugly is a great description of what we are doing. We are big and it’s an ugly job, but I know how sexy I am, so I’m cool with that term.

Q: What are your goals this season as a player?

A: My goals this season are to excel in the classroom and get bigger, stronger, and better on the football field. I will do whatever my coaches need me to do to help us win a national championship.
