Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals this season was to first put myself in a position to help my team succeed. I did that as we were able to win the conference as well as make it to the elite 8 of the NCAA D2 playoffs. Also, I wanted to show my sideline to sideline abilities as well as make plays when my number was called.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Smart, Fast, and Confident.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be training at Boundless Performance in Hartford, CT. I want to focus on my speed, reaction, and flexibility, as well as conditioning because that is key when it comes to being an every down Linebacker.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I study film, I like to look for the top plays and formations an offense likes to run. Then, I focus on Linemen stances so that I can get a tip as to if it’s a run play or a pass play. Then, I like to pay attention to the Running Back’s mechanics when he takes a hand off and see where he likes to run, as well as how he blocks on pass plays.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players is my knack for the ball. I always make sure that I’m always around the ball no matter where I’m at on the field, I’m always pursuing to the ball. Also, my confidence when I step foot on that field, I’m prepared for everything and I don’t ever have any worries. I always step foot on the field with the mindset that the person in front of me cant block me or get away from me.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My attention to detail. Coming from Assumption College, the coaches really harp on attention to details. Taking care of the little things that nobody tends to pay attention to. Also, my confidence. I’m confident in myself and my abilities, so when I’m on the field or off the field, you will never see me second guess myself.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
You should give me a shot because your getting a player that’s willing to work as soon as he steps foot in the door. I come from a program that instilled greatness in my brain. I’m not with being average or even good, I want to be great and my passion for the game won’t let me settle for anything less. Football is more than just a game to me, it’s my life.
