Name: Brandon Robeson
School: Salisbury University
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 305
Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My main goal was to win a conference championship. I wanted teams to have to game plan for me every week and make other teams have to focus on me to free up my teammates to make plays.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Aggressive, Disruptive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I’m training with my strength coach, Matt Nein, who was voted NSCA strength coach of the year.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I really focus on things that other Defensive Lineman do that work against my upcoming opponent. I watch for tendencies in protections for pass plays and if they give away whether it’s inside/outside zone and if the Running Back and Quarterback show anything to give the play away.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me is my work ethic, I try to be the hardest worker in the room and my strength separates me.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Off the field, I don’t get in trouble and work hard in the weight room, practice field, and film room. On the field, I’m someone who can cause an offense to change their play calling. I can force them into bad situations with my run stopping abilities.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I would say to pro teams that all I need is a chance to show you that I’m good enough play for you. You’d be getting a player that works hard, is disciplined, and will give everything I have to help the team win.
