What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had a few statistical goals I set for myself. Some I accomplished, some I didn’t. But really my main focus was to prove to myself that I was one of the most explosive players in the nation, regardless of division and I believe I did that.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
Having an extra year of learning and putting in hours on my craft really helped me just improve my overall game of becoming a better player and leader.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Absolute dog. Someone they would go to war with any day. Hardest worker in the room mentality and just a guy who truly loves the game and loves his teammates.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Studying film I always try and just make everything second nature so that when I step on the field I’m not thinking. By the hours of film I watch I try to recognize coverages or blitz’s early so that I don’t have to think and can just play fast.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Definitely my versatility. I’m a guy who when you turn on the tape you find out quick I can legitimately play two positions and have an impact in the return game. Not only play RB but also playing WR as well and being able to run routes outside, in the slot, and out of the backfield.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Right now I’m training at Training Haus in MN with Bill Welle. We have a great group of guys and it’s one of the best combine prep places in the nation.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I believe my speed obviously jumps out. But I think my knowledge of the game and my relentless pursuit of greatness is what will take me over the top. Off the field, my love for my teammates and just wanting to be a great locker room guy who you can always depend on to do the right thing.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I don’t have much to say. I know the work I put in and the film speaks for itself. If you’re good they will find you, and I know soon NFL scouts will soon realize there’s really great prospect coming out of Northern State this year.
