Name: Tyler Kluver

Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Heading into last season, my main focus was to be so reliable for my team that no one ever worried about a snap being bad. I just wanted to be known as a sure thing when I took the field. As a 5th year senior with 4 straight bowl losses, the other goal was to capture a post season victory and I was very happy that we did that.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
3 words to describe my play would be prepared, focused, and effort.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Training up to this point has all been done in Iowa city with our strength staff. After the draft is over, if I’m not with a team, I will continue to train and long snap on my own.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I look at film of myself, the biggest things I look for are things I don’t normally do snap to snap. Once I identify something that isn’t helping me, I can focus on and eliminate it. My favorite film to watch is of the guys already in the league. I’ve learned a lot and modeled my snapping after different parts of several guys already playing in the NFL.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other long snappers is there aren’t many guys coming out of college who have more experience, as I started 53 straight games, all without a mis-snap. Also, I would bet on my athleticism against any other long snapper, so post snap I can be an asset in coverage.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Strengths I can bring to a team on the field is a great work ethic, I’m a fast learner, and I can adapt to anything the coaches need me to do. I’m disciplined, I’m reliable, and I know what it takes to be successful.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch is that given the opportunity, I have no doubt I have the ability to snap professionally for a long time. Some may over look me for my size, but if someone is willing to take a chance on me, they will be very pleased with my production.
