Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Some of my goals were to achieve a 4.0, makes plays when the opportunity presented itself on the field, be technically sound in the run game, and lift up my teammates on and off the field.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Smart, adaptable, athletic.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I train everyday at Landow Performance, working on proper technique and mechanics for drops and pass rush. Also, the continual strength and speed work. I prepare mentally by watching film of myself and taking notes on where I can improve.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When studying film, I break down the plays by personnel. From there, I review the most called plays and tendencies of what down plays are typically called. From there, I focus on the alignment of certain players in the backfield and on the offensive line and try to find run or pass cues. After I feel I have a grasp of the offensive, I lock in on the techniques and habits of the players that I will be competing against to give myself an edge and more opportunity to make a play.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates myself from other players is a deep love for the game and competing to win. Being able to play multiple positions elevates me to another level having played 4 different positions on defense throughout my time at CU. I bring a great intelligence to the field and a wisdom of football having played this sport for the past 18 years.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Off the field, I am a very kind and respectable young man that stays out for troubles way. I bring a fun and comedic sense of life. I love building camaraderie with my teammates because if you can’t trust them off the field, how can you trust them to have your back on the field. I often tend to stay to my girlfriend and myself as well.
On the field, I show up everyday working harder and competing better than those around me. I expect the best out of myself and those around me while not being afraid to speak when someone isn’t giving their best effort. I’m adaptable and learn quickly, so I can get the job done and get results faster. I study film and take what I learn in the class room out on the field and produce.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m a hidden gem. There is minimal risk for an NFL team or Pro team to pick me up as I’ve never been in a mix up with the law. I’m passionate about this sport and I want to help a program win games above all else. I could care less about fame, I want to continue what I love at the highest level and making plays and making players around me better on and off the field. NFL teams and Pro teams will being getting a young man with a chip on his shoulder wanting to prove that he’s better than what they believe he’s capable of.
