Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

I had a couple goals heading into my final season. The main goal was to help my team win games. Doing my part in obtaining that goal would also ensure I was the best at my position on the field. Another goal was to lead in sacks and tackles for loss; for team, the conference, and the nation. My other goal was to make a name for myself so that people would respect my game.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Confident, fast, and discipline.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I trained in San Jose, California with Five Star Lineman Academy for position work and Marshall Sports for pro day/combine training. It’s a great program that has helped many guys achieve their goals.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

My first focus is the Offensive line and their strengths and weaknesses. After that, it’s any tendency I can pick up on with the offense as a whole. Whether it is a lineman, the QB, a RB, or even a receiver. For example, “Out of this formation against this front, on our 25, 3rd and 4, what do they like to run?” I am very observant and disciplined when it comes to watching film. I love to do it.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My mental toughness, physical condition, discipline, courage, speed, focus, quickness, and speed is what separates me, but in detail my football IQ, along with rushing off the edge. I’m constantly getting better, so I have tremendous upside. I am a sure tackler who can give total effort with my hands in the dirt or in a two-point stance.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I love the game a football and everything that comes with it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. So a strength I will bring to any team is a guy that’s always going to do his job and be accountable no matter what. They will also get a guy who will contribute and do anything is asked of him on or off the field. Off the field one of my strengths is that I love giving back to my community. I am a firm believer that everyone at some point needs to give back to any and every community around them.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch is to all the teams who are considering me; I would like to thank you for letting a kid from Wichita, Kansas live his dream. I have worked hard my whole life to get to this point to even be considered playing at next level. I’ve carried myself like a professional prior to this process and that will continue as I make this transition to the next level. Thank you in advance and you won’t be disappointed.
