What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had a lot of goals but one I accomplished was to make the All conference team and I did. Thankful for my teammates and coaches helping me accomplish this goal, without them none of this would have been possible. Also being the best at my position throughout the division/conference, and I accomplished that.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage by using the extra year I had to my fullest potential because I was hurt during the actual Covid year so this one year really helped me get to where I’m at now. I was able to train more, learn more, and also showcase my talent with the games that were given. I was also able to make connections and meet people that will help me get to where i need to go.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would tell you I am a leader, very smart player, selfless, loves to win, and to compete. They would also tell you that I’m very versatile and I also love to help other be successful as well.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I dissect film I love to look at QB tendencies, and where he looks as well as likes to go with the ball. I also love to find out if he is a stare target down QB or not. I also study formations and how many times they run the same plays out of those formations that allows me to register what play is about to come when I see them align in that formation. I do every formation that way. I also study the offensive lineman and small details I can gain from them and the receivers that will tell me what play is about to happen. Backfield sets are keys I read as well.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is my versatility, my IQ, size, and being a great person to coach and be around. I will never back down from anyone or anything and that’s some you can’t teach.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to train until my bowl game then go away to train for my pro-day that will be coming up soon after. I will Be training my body to be the best it can be when that time presents itself.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
One strength is that I keep the team first before myself which is key to winning teams because you must be a selfless player to evolve together. I also keep God first in my life that can help impact others in a spiritual way. My IQ and knowledge of the game is something that will stand out and just having raw talent is physically what I can bring to the table.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
You will not regret taking me, I will work hard for everything that I want, and I’m coming to take what’s mines. God is forever first in my life and with him anything is possible so I’m ready for whatever challenges I may face.
