What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Break the receptions record in App State’s history and win a conference championship.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
My senior year I tore my hamstring pretty badly and played through it so I didn’t have much production or much good film for over half the year which really hurt because I was off to a great start to the season in 2020, so getting the chance to come back and have the best season of my college career was big for my confidence, to prove to myself again the type of player I am. And I think I showed a lot of people my versatility and showed my good route running and contested catching ability.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe they would say I was a great guy to have in the building and on the field, a guy who can be counted on and treated everyone with respect and came to work consistently everyday regardless of circumstances.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Beating press more consistently and show a bit more explosion more frequently.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is a few things, my knowledge for the game and my understanding of defenses and how I can attack them, also my experience I’ve started more games than anyone in FBS history and with that comes knowledge and toughness, lastly my hands, I can can be a guy that gets the tough first downs and run a plethora of routes
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is to nail down a great 40 time, that’s what people want to see from me and that’s what I’m going to do.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths off the field will be being a first class guy that treats everyone with respect and on the field being a fierce competitor that will do whatever it takes to win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m not a flashy player that will wow you with intangibles, but I will be one of the best football players on your team wherever necessary.
