Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Of course I wanted to play hard every game, but I was set on making sure I had one big, stand out game during my final senior season. In my homecoming game, I had 296 all purpose yards, four touchdowns, and I scored the last touchdown of the game which would leave the score 50-30.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I am someone they can count on, that I’m very consistent on the field. You will never get a bad game out of me. I am a hard worker and I try my best no matter what the score is or the circumstance. My coaches would also say I love the game of football and I have a high football IQ.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on all the little things. I might check if I stayed tight to my blocker on a run play or if I could have made a better move on a defender to gain an extra yard. I pay attention to the linebackers’ movements and how they read plays and fill gaps.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I would say my story and my versatility separates me from other players. As a division 1 bounce back and a juco product, and then as a division 3 player, I haven’t had the same opportunities as other players have had at bigger schools. My diverse skill set makes me a player who isn’t easy to fit in a box. I’m the guy who has quickness and explosiveness, but can also break tackles and block, and even catch a pass as a slot receiver.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

In the off-season, I’ll be training at STARS, based in Anaheim. My goals are to get faster and stronger. I’m looking forward to lifting heavy and improving my explosiveness.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I bring a relentless attitude and constant effort. I’m always finding a cut back lane, even when the blocking isn’t there. I take care of the ball, in my past 3 years at La Verne, I’ve only fumbled the ball once. Off the field, I’m an easy-going, natural leader and a good teammate to have in the locker room.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

For as long I’ve played football, people in the stands always tell me how excited they are to watch me play. I bring a unique energy and I never give up on myself or my team. I’m a shifty, dynamic player and a key component in any offense.
