Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set out to help lead our team to our first winning record in 10 years, lead my team in tackles, make first team all- conference, and be a Semifinalist for the Campbell trophy. I accomplished all of those goals.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I am a very tough, physical, and smart football player. I play the game with an intense passion and easily recognize plays. My teammates and coaches would also say that I am a great teammate, leader, and mentor.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I go over practice film and watch my read steps and pass drops to play at the most efficient level. I also study the opposing lineman, their steps, and their blocking assignments so I know how to fit run plays and what holes will be open to run through. I also study runningbacks to see where they like to make their cuts and how they will run zone, power, and counter. I study the qb and runningback to see any signs of screens or immediate pass reads.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will work with my college strength and conditioning coach to put a plan together to prepare for upcoming tryouts and any playing opportunities.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
As a Campbell trophy Semifinalist I bring a great combination of athletic abilities/accomplishments, academics, and leadership. As a result, I am a very dedicated player with great intelligence on and off the field. My instincts and ability to read and recognize plays combined with my quickness sets me apart from other players. My leadership both on and off the field and admiration from my teammates shows as I was voted team MVP in 2018, and a team captain heading into the 2019 season. I was also voted team MVP in 2018 and 2019.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
I love the game of football more than anything in the world and I am a selfless player willing to do whatever a team/organization needs me to do to win.
