What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Going into my final season; my goal was to get more turnovers and to be named All Conference as well as All American.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
As stated I set the goal of getting more turnovers, so I feel like accomplishing that goal was how I took advantage of my final season and showcasing more skills on my film tape.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I feel like my coaches and teammates would say I was a player who brought energy to our secondary / defense. I also think they would speak of me being a physical player.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film to better my game; I pay attention to my AAT; alignment, assignment, and my technique. I also pay attention to opposing teams tendencies, and who the quarterbacks favorite target is, and their route combinations.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel like what separates me from other players is the energy I bring to a defense, and the kind of teammate I am. I also think my ability to read route concepts is something that separates me from others.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I would say I’m approaching this off-season like any other but at the same time it’s not just any other off season to me. With that being said in this off season I plan on training in Fayette with my strength and condition coach on a daily basis.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think a strength that I could bring to a team that could help on and off the field is film studying. In my college season my coaches stressed the importance of film studying to us and showed us how to study film properly. Not only film study but my ambition to see me and my team succeed is something I feel would rub off on my teammates and become a domino affect throughout the locker room.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to professional league; I am a player who is willing to do whatever to see my team succeed, if that mean I have to be on practice squad, special teams, etc. i know I can contribute to a team and help out where needed!
