Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goal that I set was to win a national championship because I felt we had the team chemistry and coaching staff to play and win an national title. Also, I wanted to be a great teammate and help the younger guys learn and develop in our defense. I set the goal to make first or second team all-conference and I made 2nd team. Also I wanted to lead the team in sacks but I tied for 3rd on the team.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

“He’s a smart and instinctive player. His mindset is to play to win instead of playing not to lose. He’s a team leader that everyone on the defensive unit can rally around to find some type of energy and spark for the game. QB of the D-Line. He wants to know the full picture of defense. Helluva player in the trenches and a guy you look for when the team needs a big play.”

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on steps and hands because of my position. I know if I take to big of a step or too small I know that’s the difference from making a play or not. If I miss with my hands and don’t get good enough extension I know that can take me out of the play. When I watch film on the opponent, I look for small things as well. For example, is the Offensive Guard’s thumb is in the ground I know it’s a high run probability. Also, if the QB is making a check with his OL’s and he says a number you can tell which way the play is going.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The thing that separates me from other pro prospects is the grind and grit. I know where I’m coming from I have to work harder than other guys and I don’t mind putting in the work to get to where I want to be and that’s becoming a professional football player.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

As of now, I am just training at the college facility and currently trying to find an agent to help me with this process. I am currently working on conditioning and after I find an agent I can then properly move to the next process.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My strengths on the field will be bringing that energy, flare, and competition to my teammates because I believe “steel sharpens steel”. Also, I would be in my coaches ear about goal line packages, stunts, and etc. Off the field, I would make sure the team stays to together and we build chemistry with one another because it takes the little things to be apart of something bigger than yourself.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

In tough situations, I never backed down. Challenges are going to be intense but I love challenging myself to be great. I’m not the ideal height for a D-Lineman but I am ideal player. I can play this game no ifs, ands, or buts. I love this game and put my heart into ever move I make on the field. Having me in any league would be a credit to any team that picks me to play for them.
