Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Heading into my final collegiate season, I set goals that I would be on the starting defense and special teams, that we would beat USC and UCLA in the same season, and that I would play in a Senior All-American Bowl Game.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am very motivated and ambitious, I’m very coachable, I’m always eager to learn whether it be new plays or new positions, but above all, I am a hardworking man. If there’s anything I’ve mastered, it is the art of getting knocked down and picking myself up and doing better.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I am studying film, I try to find my mistakes so that I won’t make them again, I try to see where I could have communicated better, and I like to study the opposing team’s offensive lineman and quarterback so that in the future plays, I’ll know whether it’s going to be a pass or run in order to act accordingly and efficiently.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other defensive linemen is that I love to play special teams, I’m very fast, and I can play multiple positions. You definitely won’t see many big guys on kickoff running down the field, with my speed, to knock somebody’s head off. I can play many different positions such as, DE, DT, and OLB.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

As I train, I will focus on my speed, my strength, and my flexibility. I will push myself to new limits, eat healthy, stay hydrated, and continuously set new goals to achieve.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring my speed and strength to a team. My speed, including my quick first step, is a strength of mine that any team would largely benefit by having on their field. My strength and power allow me to get past the offensive lineman who try to double-team or block me swiftly, and still make it to whoever holds the ball at that moment. I will also bring my dependability, respect, ability to work under pressure, and character to the team, which will benefit the team both on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Overall, my three strengths are my speed, power, and reliability. I am a well-rounded man, and I can take on anything that is thrown my way both in life and in football. I’m always there when I’m needed, I’m a team player, and I’m very hardworking.
