Name: Destin Guillen
School: Mercer
Position: DE/DT/OT
Height: 6’5″
Weight: 290
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set a goal to be one of the most dominate defensive lineman in the conference. I realized I could help my team the most by taking on double teams and drawing the offense towards my side to disrupt.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Tough not only mentally but physically.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on offensive sets, and the plays they run out of different formations. Gives insight on the opponent.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My size, strength, and will to get better everyday.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have enrolled into a training facility. Trying to perfect my craft daily, and work on getting faster and stronger.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Team oriented, I bring positive energy everyday no matter how I may feel that day! I love football, but I also know how you carry yourself off the field definitely alters how you may perform on the field.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
I feel as though I am a very slept on prospect, I have not met my full potential as a football player. I want the opportunity to show my full potential because it will be scary! However, off the field I am a man of high character, and a leader not through my words but through actions.
