Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Going into my senior season, individually I wanted to reach 40 tackles on the season and be a key contributor to help my team earn our 4th straight conference championship and 3rd straight playoff appearance. I was able to reach most of my goals that I set out for the 2018 season. I had 42 total tackles, which ranked 6th on the team. I was also able to be a vital part to the 5th ranked defense in the nation. As a team we earned our 4th straight conference championship, but unfortunately missed the playoffs.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a smart, dependable, coachable, and instinctive player that they can trust. I am always lined up correctly and know my responsibilities each play. Also, I am a great leader that gets my teammates lined up and knows their assignments as well.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I am watching practice or game film on myself, I look for ways I can develop and improve my game. Each practice and each week I make it a point to improve on my weaknesses to become a better football player. When I study film on my opponent, I look for tendencies and advantages that I can exploit during a game.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other players is my work ethic and my football IQ. I have always played with a chip on my shoulder and will never let anyone out work me. To go along with my skills and instincts, my football IQ allows me to play fast and make plays.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will train hard back in my home state of Texas as I prepare for the 2019 IFL season in February. I have been blessed with the opportunity to sign and play for the Cedar Rapids River Kings. A great organization that believes in me and my talents. I am excited for my rookie season, as I will showcase all of my abilities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the the field, teams will be impressed with my ability to play the run, football IQ, and passion for the game. Off the field, I am a great person that has a caring heart. Being respectful and kind to people is very important to me. I love to encourage and help others better their life.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I believe in myself and my abilities, just looking for an opportunity to take advantage of. I love this game and I am constantly working hard to turn my dreams into reality. Teams that give me an opportunity will be getting a humble young man that will represent their organization properly. I am blessed to be in this position and very thankful for it.
