Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I led the conference in interceptions for the second straight year, while also being named first team All-MIAA for the second year in a row. I also was named team captain this year and helped lead my team to back to back undefeated conference championships.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Coaches would say I’m very hard-working, focused, determined, and mentally tough. Doesn’t complain about anything, and gets whatever needs to be done, done. Very, very coachable.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focused on receiver tendencies, QB tendencies, and frequency of formations and plays ran by the offense. I focus on how each receiver releases off the ball, how they get in and out their breaks, how far each route is ran. I focus on how the QB handles pre-snap reads, which way he likes throw, hand signals, favorite targets. I focus on formation tendencies and how many times each play is ran, so I have an idea of what the offense is running even before the ball is snapped.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

IQ and length. I feel as though I understand my position and offensive concepts better than most other corners and being 6’2″, I have great height and length to help me at the line when pressing or defending the taller 6’4″ type receivers.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Train everyday to become bigger, faster, and stronger. Also, a lot of footwork drills to help my feet when pressing at the line and to quicken, getting in and out of my breaks.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m a competitive player and I love to win. I have a high IQ and I’m great at either man or zone coverage. I’m a great teammate and a great leader. Off the field, I’m never a worry, someone who will get done what they need to get done and always does the right thing.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

You’ll get a hardworking and determined DB that’ll be able to take on any task ahead of him. A DB who’ll take and accept his role and fulfill his role at the highest level.
