Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Focusing in on my technique and the use of my hands were focal points for me in the off-season. As well as committing to the film room and playing the game at a higher level mentally.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches will tell you I’m a high motor, high IQ player that sets the edge with violent hands. Needs to just play instead of overthinking at times, but is becoming more and more technically sound.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I like to study formations and back location. What teams typically like to do out of certain sets and where you can expect the back to be gives me a good idea of what the offense wants to do pre snap. Also, what a teams OTs like to do, what kind of pass set, is he physical in the run game, and does he give away any cues by his stance.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My length and strength at the point of attack set me apart from others at my position. I don’t think I’m expected to play a physical style of ball as a lean DE, but I enjoy it.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m currently working on setting up pro day training, as well as finalizing a decision on another bowl game. I’ll be heading back to my alma mater Grambling State for pro day this year.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

As far as what I bring on the field, I’m a guy that enjoys playing the run just as much as the pass. Im a versatile DE that has played in multiple defenses and I love the film room. Off the field, I’m a guy who wants to be a positive voice in my community. I have a love for the youth, I don’t know exactly what told this will be, but I want to be involved.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m an edge player with a long frame with room to add weight and upper body strength. I’m a physical, every down kind of player that’s comfortable in whatever scheme I’m asked to play. Im a guy that’s passionate about the game, is a student of the game, and brings a certain energy to a locker room.
