What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
For my final collegiate season a big goal that I set for myself was to be able to pass down knowledge and be a role model for some of the younger players on my team. Yes I made plays, but being the guy that the younger player felt they could come to was an accomplishment of mine.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I definitely feel like this extra year of eligibility allowed me to get more exposure and gave me an extra year to sharpen my skills and grow as a player.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates will tell you that I am a competitor. When a play is needed my team knows they can depend on me to do so.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Being a man to man team week in and week out, our cornerback room really keyed in on our matchups. We focused on tendencies, alignments, strengths/weaknesses, and which techniques would put you in the best position for that specific week.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe I have good feet which allows me to put myself in a good position to make plays on balls. Like I mentioned before I’m a team guy, trust the technique, trust your teammates, trust your coaches, the plays will come to you.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
During the offseason, I plan to continue to sharpen my technique as well as train for any upcoming pro days.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I can be a guy who can have an impact on special teams as well as defense. Off the field, I can be a guy who is dependable to teammates and a good representation of who we are as a team.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
With me you will get a relentless player, a guy willing to be coached. A guy who wants to be pushed as a player by the coaching staff and his teammates.
