Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals would be Duquesne football’s goals. We take a game by game approach. We want to win every game we play. Our main goal every year is to win the NEC.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Athletic, Psychical, Smart. I can play a lot of positions on the field. I played all five positions on the Offensive Line, Fullback, and Tight End. I am very versatile as a player. On the field it is a different world and I try to be a very physical specimen. Run game or pass game I love to hit someone in the mouth. I am very smart on the football field, because I know every position. I have played all of those positions because I know what is going on and can help the person next to me. I like to make the calls with a passion and roll.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will train with the same intensity I always have in the weight room. I might have to focus on a couple of areas a little more, but overall I will be the same lifter as I was in college.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I look at film, there are a bunch of things I look at. I watch film all week because it is literally a way to beat the opponent mentally. I will watch the players I will go against and their techniques. I will also look for keys for blitzes, like roll downs and backers over and such.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from others in my position is the heart and passion to play the game. You have these kids that are much taller, but they don’t have the same passion as me to play the game. I have been very fortunate to play this game for so long and I love the game and just have that edge and will to win.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths I have on the field is to play multiple positions and do that at a high level. I did it in college and did it in the NFLPA Bowl Game. I like moving around and doing different things at different positions. On and off the field, I have always been a leader. 2-year captain at Duquesne. I like to do the best I can to help the team win.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch is what a lot of people cannot say. I have played sports for 19 years and football for 17 years and I have never had a losing record. In any sport. I don’t lose. I was raised a winner and that’s what I strive to do. I can also come to the organization and play multiple positions at a high level.
