Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I accomplished helping my team towards a winning record, but falling short of the playoffs and a chance to play for the national championship.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am an unselfish and consistent.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When looking at film on myself, the first thing I look at are the small details, such as am I using my feet the correct way, so I don’t waste any steps in practice. First thing I look at when watching opponent film is negative plays from the past week, first to see if they show any inconsistencies or tendencies to exploit them. Next, I look at any distinctive reads such as offensive line keys, types of RB I am facing that week, route combinations and their scheme.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other players is my football IQ and relentless effort. My ability to know what is going on and to be able to diagnose the play quickly and do what I have to do to make the play falls into my high football IQ. Also, doing whatever I have to do to make the play by any means necessary.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I will continue on getting faster and working on my explosiveness as well as a strength training program. I will also be attending the college gridiron showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am an unselfish team player who has the football IQ and athletic ability to make the plays that are needed to be made. Also, I am a firm believer in uplifting the community and helping empower the youth, because they are our future.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch to NFL and other pro teams is that you are getting a selfless and highly intelligent player who believes in the team, not oneself. You are getting a quality linebacker, that will help the team in whatever way possible that the team needs. You are also getting a leader who is not only a leader on the field, but also off the field as well who will lead by example.
