Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal when I play football is to max out my effort. You can’t control a lot of things in this game as well as life. Effort is the only thing you can control. I want to leave the field knowing that if it ended now, I gave everything that I could control towards it. During my time at CSU, I was able to accomplish a top 10 spot in the conference in this years INT standings with 2 Total INT’s. My first start last season, I lead the defensive corps with 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss for a career high total and solo (6) tackles while playing with a cast on my hand, which was a cool experience.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My peers would say that I am obsessed and that I love the grind. They would also state that I make plays when I get the opportunity. My Former coaches would say that I give great effort, run fast, and am passionate about this game.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

If I am focused on myself while watching film, I will look at pad level as well as bending at my ankles, knees, and hips. Then I look at how fast I’m reading my keys and reacting to the run or pass. From there, I will look at my technique as far as tackles, peddling, and ball skills. I try to clean my craft up every-time I watch film on myself.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My effort does and will forever separate me. I do it different as far as the effort I put towards getting to and being around the ball. You always hear that good things happen when you run to the ball.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Training is training. My plan is continue to stay consistent and focused. My main goal is to get stronger and healthier both physically and mentally so when the opportunity presents itself, I am ready.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Off the field, I will bring the standard. The standard is doing what you’re supposed to do when you’re supposed to be doing it. On the field, I will bring effort and the open-mindedness to learn as well as play making ability and speed to implement the coaching I receive on the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If you want a player who will give all his effort and then some, I’m your guy. If you want a player who has grit, I’m your guy. If you want a player who wants to work, I’m your guy. I would love to play at the next level and learn from experienced coaching staffs.
