What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In my final season I met all of my goals except being an All-American four years in a row. I was selected All-Conference for the fifth time and All-Region for the fourth time in my career.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I made a position change from tackle to tight end during the covid year and think that transition made a huge impact on my chances of going to the next level. Also with this change I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge outside the trenches and only got to scratch the surface of what I could have actually done at the tight end position.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

That I’m an all in type of guy all the time. No matter what the situation is I will do my 1/11th and I’ll execute in a manner that exceeds expectations. I think I could very much be labeled as a selfless player.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on tendencies of the defense and what they like to do in different situations. As for watching film of myself I am my biggest critic and like to watch the little things I need to improve on.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I’m not afraid or shy of being in the trenches after playing tackle for three years. Also my will to always make a way for success not only for my self but my teammates around me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be working with the strength staff at Hardin-Simmons and sharpening my tools every day on my own as well.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m a high character no maintenance guy that wants to be the best at any measure.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

With all that I’ve done in college from playing tackle to moving to tight end I know my capabilities are far more than many think because of the small school upcoming. Blocking is for sure my specialty but athleticism is what I thrive off of. I’m just a small school small city Kid wanting to bring intensity and execution to whatever team I can.
