Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

I had many goals and expectations for myself heading into my senior season. During the summer I was able to achieve my goals of becoming faster and stronger. Coming into the season I wanted to be able to dissect an offense meaning pick them apart. A goal of mine was to always be a main topic of discussion on the scouting report. Being a leader and showing the younger guys a way was also a main goal of mine. I ended the season accomplishing all of my goals that I had set during summer, as well as earning 1st Team All-Conference and was the second leading tackler on the team.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a unique player with great athletic ability. I am an athlete who prides myself to get better each and every day in my craft. I am a player that plays with passion. On the field I smart, savage like, and bring that physicality to the table. “Work ethic is one of the best we have on the team, and the amount of extra work he puts in everyday is great to see.” (Coach Norman)

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

The first thing I look for when I start to game plan for the week, is to find any offensive tendencies. What plays do they call most often on 3rd down, Do they run the ball more with the TE on or off the ball, looking at WR splits etc. I like to look for tendencies early in the week so I can correlate that into practice. When it gets later into the week closer to game day, I tend to watch the impact players. Knowing how they come off the ball and what moves they use can set you up to be in the right position.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

One factor that separates me from other players is my drive. I want to be great and I understand what it takes to get there. Another factor is my natural instincts. I will always be near the ball on the field and that can create some havoc.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am currently running my last outdoor track season trying to be a 4x All-American. I do believe that track has helped me become a more explosive and fluent runner, which has transitioned to the football field. I am also working with several different trainers that have prepared me for my pro day, meal plans, and overall strength and conditioning.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am the type of person that is going to show up everyday ready to work with a smile on my face. I am always willing to better my team whether it’s playing safety, linebacker, or even wide receiver. My character is what is going to stand out both on and off the field. On the field I am going to lead by example, and always try to not just make myself better, but my teammates. I have always wanted to give back to the community, and playing professional football would give me that opportunity off the field. It’s more than a game.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Do not overlook me because I played at a smaller school. My highlight shows that I have the tools and speed to contend at the highest level. I have competed with players that are currently in the league today, and I know I can make an impact on a team rather it being on defense or special teams. I just want the opportunity to show my talents and whoever takes their chances with me will not be disappointed.
