What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
It was very hard for me to accomplish any goals I set this year because of injuries but I know God has a bigger plan for the long run.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage by taking workouts very serious with a former teammate who was training for the NFL. Being able to get ahead of my competition during quarantine in March of 2020 was very beneficial.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I am a very physical football player. My versatility on the field makes me very challenging to game-plan for week in and week out. I can change the game at any point on the field by making a big play happen. Being the go to guy on 3rd downs and becoming a possession receiver when my team needs a play to be made.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
The things I focus on to improve my game are the alignments of the defensive backs. Being able to recognize coverages pre-snap and understand where they are going to roll post-snap. Studying certain defenders that were in the game plan each week and understanding tendencies of each one.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is my versatility on offense and contributing in both phases of the return game. Being able to play multiple positions is crucial for the next level and showcasing my ability to execute at a high level.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is training down at X3 Performance in Nashville, Tennessee. This is going to give me the best opportunity come pro day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths and abilities on the field that will stand out are my physicality and versatility on the football field. Being able to play multiple positions and understanding schemes. The toughness I bring to each and every game will go hand in hand with my heart playing this beautiful game. Off the field strengths I think I will bring that will stand out is my commitment to build relationships with the people who I am working with. My optimism toward situations will reflect who I am as a person and rub off on others to continue to be positive through the hardships everyone will face. My attitude and commitment toward the little and big things to achieve overall goals will be a main correlation with my character.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL and other pro leagues is you will be getting a guy with high character, discipline and responsibility. Being able to stay disciplined throughout the process is when success will come. Gaining a player that is very versatile and willing to do whatever is asked of him from the coaching staff. Having a very optimistic mindset toward the unknown future and always moving forward no matter the circumstances.
