What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

At the start of the season I was part of a new team which provided a new set of goals for me. The main goal was to help lead a team to a conference championship and impact my teammates in a positive way. I also set out to be an All Conference player by being dominant every play.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

The extra year gave me the opportunity to get more film, while learning new techniques and skills to enhance my game. I felt that I improved every game and became more of a complete center, becoming someone to look out for during the season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that he is a hard worker that allows him to be very coachable. He’s always positive and it shows by the way he plays the game. He plays with passion and is always looking for ways to make himself and his teammates better. He’s a physical player that plays with no fear. He’s a player that keeps going forward no matter the situation. He’s a difference maker on the line with his leadership and skill set.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I first get a sense of what defense I will be going up against, this includes knowing what to expect in key situations along with normal down and distances. I scout the players I will be blocking and see what their strengths and weaknesses are. Being able to get ahead and expose weaknesses, while countering strengths is a big part of the game for me.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I pride myself on being versatile on the offensive line by having experience at the center and guard position. I predominantly play center where I have the skill set to lock up the middle while pulling and moving laterally. This past year I was utilized by pulling and getting guys down in space. Being an athletic center allows many opportunities for an offense to be explosive. I can be used in many different ways to be an asset to a team.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I train all year to get stronger and faster to help prepare for the start of the season. As I prepare for my pro journey I am currently working on speed and power to be a more explosive player. Everyday I work to get better in every aspect of my game while taking the right measures to take care of my body.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I am a player who gives 100% every rep and does not quit. I am a positive leader who wants the best in myself and teammates. Off the field, I focus on schoolwork and surround myself with family and friends who support my goals. I am a leader on and off the field by influencing others around me by leading by example.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

By selecting me, a team will get a versatile player that can be used in many ways. I am a player with a positive attitude and will do what is asked of him. Throughout my career I have overcome adversity and continue to have a no quit mentality. Overall, I am a highly talented player who will give everything to a team.
