Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals coming into my last season were to be first team all conference, win our conference, and make the national playoffs. Unfortunately we didn’t win our conference and didn’t make the playoffs as we finished 8-3. However, I did reach my goal of getting first team all conference.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m a team first guy willing to do whatever it takes to win. They would say I’m hard worker who exemplifies a ton of leadership on the field and off. They would say I’m a great teammate as I always have their backs and am always having a great time out on the field with the boys.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
A large portion of my focus is always watching the the opposing players and defenses I will be going up against. Trying to pick up on any tendencies as well as looking for strengths and weakness in their own game. Also, when I am watching film I really try and hone into where my weaknesses are in the game or on a specific play. I use my coaches and other resources to find out how I can improve in that area or that play. This way I’m constantly trying to improve myself and my techniques.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I would say that my versatility would separate myself from other athletes in my position. I offer a lot for a fullback. I can line up in a lot of different spots, whether that may be running back, in the slot, or at a wing playing some TE/H-back.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Right now I’m training at Training Haus in Eagan, MN. Training Haus is known for their combine and professional prep and I’m excited to see my progress throughout my time there.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
First off I provide a team first approach. I am also willing to fit into whatever role is asked of me. I am a guy who plays with relentless effort and physicality looking to win each play. I am also a leader on and off the field who always practices doing the right thing.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch would be that I am a guy that is willing to do whatever is asked of me and a guy that can provide a lot of versatility for my position. I pride myself in being a good teammate and doing all the little things it takes to win.
