What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal I set for my final season was to help instill the winning values that we hold within the program to my younger teammates. In addition, I set goals for myself to go out and dominate the competition each gameday, while making sure I do my job on the field.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I believe I took advantage of the extra year by training my eyes with more hours of film to understand the game more thoroughly, more training to have my body in great condition, and coming back for another year gave me the chance to gain even more experience under my belt.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would definitely say I’m a “lead by example guy”, I tend to try and do everything right so other players see what kind of results you can get when everything is done to your full capacity. In addition, for everyone in the program to vote for me as a defensive captain in 2019 goes to show that they believe in my leadership ability.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on the movements that are from the player I’m watching in my position. I then take notes on what worked and what did not. From there, I then assess why the certain moves didn’t work. Lastly, by this method I’ve discovered my competition’s weakness as well as the things that beat him and why.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I consider myself to be a “blue-collar style player”, I haven’t seen someone with a work ethic at the same level as mine. In addition, I believe my mental capacity in handling adversity on and off the field is second to none.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off-season plan is geared on me getting a little heavier in weight while also keeping my speed and agility up in order to play at the same speed as guys in the league right now.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The strengths I will bring to a team on the field are competition, communication, initiative, perseverance, and uplift. Off the field, I bring genuine energy to the team while also building great relationships with the coaches and players. I believe we all can help each other grow.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I just need the chance to show you that I’m the kind of player you are looking for to be a part of your program. I’m hardworking, determined, and will never settle for average and if those are some of the attributes that make a great pro player, then I believe I’m the guy for the job.
