Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
One of my main personal goals were to catch as least more then 4 int’s but I ended up catching 3. But one of my goals I did meet was getting all conference. Some accomplishments that came with just me working hard was leading the GSC in pass break up’s and broke the school record for the most PBU’s in a single season with 15.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am a very disciplined and patient player when it comes to my technique. Also they would say that I am always positive even when we face adversity.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on keeping my hips square off the line when I motor out. Also I focus on tendencies the WR’s have to help me out with knowing their next move. The more I know about the man lining up across from me the better.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am a very coachable player and I pick up on things really quick. Also I am a very patient player at the LOS and I love being physical with shedding blocks and making the tackle. A lot of corners tend to shy away from getting in on tackles but for me thats not the case.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan to train in the offseason everyday except for Sundays. Rather if its speed training, lifting, stretching, field work or cardio. Every lifting session or speed session I’m going to focus on pushing myself to the point I can’t go anymore. I want to be the best shape of my life come pro day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Strengths that I will bring to the team is my great character. I believe I am a very smart player who loves to learn and is good at implementing whatever I learn onto the field. I always bring positive energy as well. I’m always 100 percent focused at all times whether it’s class, work outs, practice or game time. I also have a winning spirit which seems to always show and my teammates usually pick up on it and every one seems to follow suit.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My name is Tyrone Cromwell and I’m a graduate from Florida Institute of Technology. I Attended Dundalk High School in Baltimore, Maryland where I received varsity letters in football and baseball. I’ve played football since I was five years old and it’s been my dream to play for a professional team. I’m a coaches son so I have been a student of the game since day one. This led me to being a very coachable player. I was a true freshman at clarion University where I earned the starting spot during summer camp and started every game of my college career even once I transferred to Florida tech. My personal reason for transferring was to challenge myself and move from one of the toughest and biggest d2 conferences the PSAC to a even tougher and elite conference the GSC. I believe that I can go to any professional team and fit right in with the players who are serious about their craft, love football and want to win. I know whatever team that takes a chance on trying me out as a part of their organization they will see that I’m a diamond in the rough and they have found what they need a humble, smart, yet ready to learn, consistent player. I am truly blessed by my journey and I am truly looking forward to continuing my journey with any professional team thats willing to take a chance on me. You wont be disappointed!
