Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had a couple goals coming into the season one of them being to help my team finish with the number one defense in the nation like last year which we accomplished. Another one being to help my team win the conference and become five time undefeated conference champions which we also achieved.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I’m one of the hardest working individual in the room who leads by example and takes pride in doing the little things right on and off the field. I think they would also say I have a great understanding of the game of football.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
There’s a lot of tendencies you can pick up from the other team by studying film, whether that’s the The RB alignment or the WR splits. The lineman often times have tells as well wether that be leaning on there heels or leaning too far forward. A lot of offensive guys will also look where there going pre snap that’s something I try to see on film as well throughout the week. Picking up on these tendencies allows me to play a lot faster. I also study myself a lot to see where I can improve my game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I would say what separates me from the other pro prospects would be my versatility. The fact that I’ve played every linebacker position throughout my college career. I can play man in the slot, rush the QB and make tackles in the open field. I can also be in the box and make plays. I feel as though I can be plugged in wherever a team needs me and be successful.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to train with my trainer Jalen Ramsey (1pperformance) he’s one of the best sports performance coaches in the country. I’m going to be focusing on getting bigger, faster, stronger for the ANC combine I’m attending in may. I’m also going to be doing a lot of db work because of my size teams might want me to make the transition back to safety.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a very disciplined individual who focuses on doing the little things right and getting one percent better everyday. I’m ambitious and have a high drive for success.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m intelligent, disciplined, and have a great work ethic. Any team that gives me a opportunity will be getting someone that’s going to give them everything he has. I will make a positive impact on any organization that picks me up. I know I have the skill set, knowledge and the athleticism. to be great at the next level.
