Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My last year I really wanted to solidify my spot as one of the best through the program as an OL, I wanted to and achieved All-Conference, All-Region, and 1st team All-American honors by both AP and AFCA.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would take note of how hard and diligent I work at my business, but that does not take away from my ability to help lead others and care for others with what is going on in their lives.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Film study is huge especially for OL. We have to be very critical when watching ourselves with things like first step, steps overall, pad level, posture, hand placement, striking point, etc., but when watching opponents’ film, it is big to understand their tendencies for how they react to types of run plays, what they like to do in pass rushes, where and what do LBs do, how does the secondary rotate to indicated LB movements, and the list goes on. However, this is what makes it fun.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Being from a small school I think is what will set me apart. Obviously, pro teams and scouts are curious if I can play with higher caliber people, but once they see that film in coming senior bowl games, the small school aspect will draw their attention I think.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be training and preparing full time at the Training Haus in MN. They have the best facilities around and Bill Welle is top notch getting players ready. I am also pleased to be working with Alex Boone in OL run game and specifically pass pro work to be prepared for the next level.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I think I bring an enthusiasm to grow myself and be the best I can for myself and for my teammates. I love being able to preform in pressure situations work with the other guys on the line. With that, off the field is where you can enjoy life with the other guys and I think that is part of the really cool stuff involved with football is creating those really great relationships.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I have worked professionally as an engineer for the past 7 months, and I can say pursuing and playing football is what I definitely want to do going forward and I am prepared to do whatever necessary to make that happen.
