Name: Tommy Mahoney
School: Tusculum University
Position: C
Height: 6-1

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set this season were simple. Win a championship while also obtaining All-American. We came up a little short on the championship goal. I was blessed to be able to receive Don Hansen All-American Honorable Mention.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe that my coaches and teammates would both say that the level of aggression I play with is unmatched. I think that they would also say that I am one of the hardest workers they have ever been around.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I am studying film I mostly pay the most attention to the person that is going to be in front of me all game. I like to watch what moves he likes the best, and think how I would stop them. I also like studying the entire defense. I like knowing what kind of defense I’m going to be up against. For example, if they are a stunt heavy, or blitz heavy defense, I like being mentally prepared for that.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Well, If we had to address the elephant in the room, it is no lie that I’m probably one of the shortest O-lineman in the draft. I know that to most that is a hard pass but I know that I’m the most aggressive and can move as good as the lineman in the NFL. I can do everything that everyone else can but better.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
During the off-season I train at Kalinowski Performance Academy. I will be continuing to train there. Coach Kal is great. He continues to push me every time I am in there.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I was a two year captain at Tusculum. I was the captain of my wrestling team in high school. I know how to lead people. Coaches can be assured that I will be a positive impact to not only the players but the coaches as well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch is that I just need a shot. There is no doubt in my mind that I can hang with these guys in the league. I just need an opportunity to prove it.
