Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals for my senior season were to record 7+ sacks, be a better a leader for my team, receive all conference and all American honors.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
If you ask my coaches and teammates about the type of player I am, from what I have heard already is that I am a very twitchy player getting off the ball, I have good hands, I play with good effort and high energy, and play tough.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I pay attention to things that are my weakness and bad habits so I can turn it into strengths. If the prior week I had a bad habit of looking in the backfield instead of playing the man first then I would focus on making sure I key the man before I transition to looking in the backfield. Things like that, I like to turn my weaknesses into strengths.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I love the game of football, I’m a competitor, I come to work a give maximum effort everyday, I like to encourage my teammates and coaches along with myself to improve, I’m very twitchy and quick, I have played 18+ years of football so I have a lot of knowledge and IQ in this game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Right now, I am training with Mike Neal at “Real Neal Sports” in Martinez, California in preparation of my pro day on march 29th at university of Tennessee. I am also doing other sessions outside of working with my trainer by myself.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I will bring toughness, speed, energy, work ethic, competitiveness, motor, determination, and willingness. Off the field, I will bring energy, encouragement, leadership, knowledge, intent to learn, establishing teamwork, accountability, dependability.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
The kind of player you are getting out of me is someone that is willing to do whatever to stay on the field and contribute to whatever my team needs me to do. I don’t care if I have to play out of position, if my team and coaches need me to accommodate and do anything else that can benefits us to winning games then I am all for it. I love the game of football, I love where it has taken me, and I am ready to see where it leads me to next. You will get maximum effort out of my with whatever my tasks is that I’m being asked to do. Doing the little things right. Wherever I’m needed at no matter what it is, you can depend on me to get the job done.
