Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Heading into my final senior season I had a couple goals set, but my main 3 were having more interceptions then last season (which I accomplished because this season I had 4), finish getting all-conference to make it 3x in a row (which I did get 1st team all-conference), and one of my main goals I always set is just to be better this season than I was the last and that alone makes me strive for so much.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I’m coachable, a leader, dedicated, smart, hard working, reliable, and a trustworthy player on and off the field. Also, that I’m a playmaker and can play any position from safety, nickel, to cornerback.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I am my biggest critic, I know after every game I didn’t play a perfect game, no matter how good I play, I know there’s always something on film I will find to improve on. When I am studying film, I first watch myself and the little mistakes I might’ve made, such as coming out of my break a step late, my alignment, and if I had my whole defense on the same page play calling wise. When watching Offensive film on other teams, I’m trying to keep things that the WR shows such as stance, the way he comes off the ball, etc, to help me diagnose the play easier.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My length, IQ, physicalness, ability to play sideline to sideline, and my range to be able to move around to different position.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
This offseason I will go back home to start working on the little things to improve my game and continue to get with my trainer and keep improving on my body.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My work ethic, IQ, and the accountability I bring to the team. You are always able to count on me on and off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch is that anyone/organization that decides to pick me up, you’re getting a baller that’s 110% in and ready to work. You won’t be disappointed!
