Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goal for my final year was to be better at tackling and playing quicker mentally so it wasn’t any hesitation. I was quarterback my first two years before a switch in positions from WR to Outside Linebacker fort last two year of Eligibility. The switch wasn’t too much of a challenge besides having to bulk up and do things that I wasn’t accustomed too like tackling, block shedding, back pedaling, playing zone/ man coverage. Other than that I was athletic enough and football savvy from playing QB, and wide receiver gave me a leg up to others.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I am a player that first cares about the team and puts the team first.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Things I focus on to improve my game is Block shedding and tackling which is two very tough things to do especially after being a QB not having to do that all. Those were the two things I really had to practice and work hard on to be able to play LB but play good enough to contribute to our defense at ODU. I Believe I have really good hips, play recognition and athleticism to play at a elite level. I just think I’m scratching the surface and can be a great player at the next level with my work ethic.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am very versatile , I see myself being able to play multiple positions if that a hybrid OLB/SS I’m able to do so. If needed to play WR and understand the concepts,Timing, route running, catching, blocking that’s something g I can do because I did it on a D1 level with no time to really learn it. I also was QB all my life even two years into College, I am the second youngest starting QB in NCAA history at 17 years old. I have been put into a tough situation and had to fight through adversity early on in my career and thrived while continuing that throughout my collegiate career. I’m able to understand a playbook, and terminology while getting the job done physically. I also played a year of Wide receiver (2019) because my head coach asked if I could help the team in that way with only a week to prepare before our first game of the season.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My preparation is to get with the best training facility that I am able to acquire while training my butt off to produce great numbers on pro day and move really well through on field drills. I’m also looking for an agent at the moment so that’s the next steps for myself.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a people person and have a desire to give back to my community. I work well with others and will give my all to an organization and community that the organization is within. I love kids and seeing them smile and their eagerness to learn will be the best moments outside of playing football. Having the opportunity will only help my mission that I feel God put me on which is to give back to the youth and what better way is to do that through the amazing opportunities that will be offered. I also will be very appreciative of the teammates and staff of the team that decides to pick me because those relationships/memories I will cherish because I believe we can do some special things overall.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I’m a guy that brings value through many aspects to the game of football from playing both sides of the ball, being able to be plugged into all special teams units and making a huge impact. I love helping others and a well rounded individuals that can lead with no hesitation cause it’s a trait you can’t coach.
