Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals going into my final season were to be the best player I needed to be for my teammates. I wanted to win Conference and play every game like it was my last time stepping on the field.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Confidence, attitude, competitive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I have been working with my trainer Chris Treece in my 40 and staying in shape. I will watch my eating habits more and make sure that I am up to par and ready to go. Technique is everything, so even the little details in my training mean the most.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When watching film, I like to rewind it and see what every Wide Receiver does because you never know who you are going to be lined up against. I watch their get off all the way to the way they block, it tells me how physical they are and how serious they take the game. I also watch the Quarterback’s drop step. This tells me how fast he wants to get the ball out and tells me what kind of route the Wide Receiver is most likely going to run.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I will play whatever coach asks me to, I’m always excited to learn a new position. I take pride and work hard in everything I do. Whatever I don’t understand, I’m hungry to learn and take advice from those before me and even in the same process as me.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Positive attitude is a big thing no matter if it’s being serious or bringing my teammates up. Whatever needs to be done to help out the organization and my coaches, I’m ready to do it. When it comes to being off the field, being a positive role model for the kids, leading by example, not just talking about it.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
All I need is a chance to show you what I can do and I will be blessed that any team has allowed me to be apart. The team not one day will be taken for granted. I am a hard worker in everything I do. I am competitive, hungry for success, and determined. The word “Can’t” does not exist in my vocabulary. I am not a selfish player, I play whatever is needed to be played. Even if I have never played it once, I’m coached on it, and then I practice, practice, and practice until it is perfect.
