Name: Stanley Dye Jr
School: Valdosta State
Position: CB
Height: 5’10″
Weight: 184

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Goals I set for myself was to come make an impact and help win games. Transferring in right before camp really put me behind but I just wanted to earn the trust of my coaches and teammates and let them know they could depend on me . And also I wanted to win a ring which I did when we won conference.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would say I’m a coachable player and ima do what I’m suppose to do and be where I need to be on and off the field . Also I think they would say I’m calm but a very aggressive player. I was always trying to hit someone . One of my teammates used to call me the silent assassin because I didn’t always say too much but I was always getting a big hit or making a play in general. And also they would say that I’m pretty fast.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film I look for the top 3 plays they like to run and the go to play when they need a play. If you know what’s coming it will slow the game down for you and will allow you to make more plays . I also look at my bad habits and things I do such as my technique so I can limit errors and not make things harder on myself.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

The thing that separates me is first that I have God on my side. Also that I can play any position in the back end , i can play free safety, I can be a dime or a nickel corner and I can play on the outside, I can play on every special teams. I’m fast and I’m a quick learner. I have no off the field issues and I’m going to also do what I’m suppose to do. I’ve been in every tough situations and I always found a way out.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

During the off season I trained with Mikhal Kornegay aka the DB Doctor. I worked with him for my pro day and to work on my technique as a DB. Even after pro day I will continue to train and be ready because you never know when you’re going to get a call so you always have to be ready.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Off the field I’m more of a lead by example type of guy so although I might not voice it I’m going to always do the right thing so that younger guys or anyone in general can have an example to follow. And on the field I’m a sure tackler and I’ll always have good coverage. I can run with anyone so I’m always up for a challenge.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?

My finial pitch to anyone who wants to sign me is this bring me into camp and I won’t let you down . I’m always going to find a way . I have a chip on my shoulder and a fire that’s been lit and I’m ready to show the world what I can really do . I have great pro day numbers and some film to back it up . Give me a chance small school guys produce as well!
