Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal that I set, along with my team, was to win a conference championship. Through perseverance and determination, we accomplished that. The main goal for myself was to be the best leader that I could possibly be. That includes vocally leading as well as leading by example. I believe I accomplished that, but there is still always room to grow.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’m the type of player that can be put in any position and will get the job done. I’m not the most athletic player, but its a sure thing that the job will be done efficiently and effectively if I’m in the position. This will lead to me being able to make plays when they come my way. Ultimately, I think my coaches and teammates will agree when I say that I am a trustworthy player.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I’m watching myself, I check to see how well I’m doing the fundamentals. Making sure I’m doing the basics right. Then I check to make sure I’m doing my assignment correctly. After that I’m looking for missed opportunities. Capitalizing on these missed opportunities are the best way for me to improve my game. I also watch players that I admire and respect to see how I can implement their style into my game.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My work ethic, knowledge of multiple positions and my ability to learn on the fly. I’ve been put in situations where my position has changed mid-game and I’ve had to adapt and overcome those challenges presented. I always welcome those challenges though, because that’s how we grow.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ve got the best coaches surrounding me that I will be utilizing to get in the best shape of my life.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m someone who will always strive to be better and will do everything in my power to make those around me better as well. On the field I excel at defending the run first, but can still rush the passer.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I’m a person who has always overcome adversity. This will not change. I’ll bring that mentality to every aspect of my life. In addition to that, I will be a person who gives back into the community and will be able to be a positive face for the organization that I’m blessed enough to be a part of.
