Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

A goal that I had set and accomplish this season is being truly leave the program better than when I came and lead the young guys in the right direction. I was the only senior DB this past season and I only had one junior that I had played with and the rest were sophomores and freshman with no experience playing yet. I tried to lead by example and hope they got the message that you have to take every game is serious because nobody is not going roll over. I also achieved All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2018 & ASC Defensive Honorable Mention in 2019.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am that I am energetic and competitive player. Had to deal with a lot of this past season. Dealing with freshman and sophomores they did play a lot and makes jokes and stuff. I did too, but they have the so much potential to be better than any defensive back group to ever come through Belhaven University. They would also say that I am smart player and I am a smart player. I had to learn 4 different defenses all 4 years so I think that says it all. With me being the FS I made all the checks with the secondary or the whole defense. Overall, I am a chill laid back guy, but when it is time to go work it is all business.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I am studying film. I check out all the receivers. To see what they like to do or what concepts they like to do then I like to focus on my match up. Study him down until game time. I always hold the best guys no matter what. I try to look at other receivers as well just in case I have to end up covering them or to give my teammates feedback to help them out with that particular receiver.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me is that I study my opponents and match more than I should to see what the receiver likes to do. Another thing that separates me is my speed.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Offseason plan is to focus on my weight. Been hard for a while now to gain weight so I’m going to be working on training to gain and focus on my footwork as well.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am not the biggest and all that, but I am not push over nor am I weak. Something that I think I will stand out is my ability to recognize formations and also my man coverage. I use to struggle with man to man a lot, but thank to my defensive back coach, Alvin Vaughn, I have improved tremendously with it.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

My friends, family, teammates, and coaches always said I had the potential to play at the next level, but I always doubted myself or I just did not see it, but after constant thinking about it, I believe I can. I have played football my whole life. There was not time I was not playing football. If the opportunity does presents itself, I would be grateful for the opportunity and I will work endlessly to improve. Just looking for a chance to prove that.
