Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I wanted a 10 TFL season in my final year and I finished with 15 total. This was very important for me as I broke my foot the season before so being able to come back and play at that level felt great.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I’m a hard worker and that I have a high football IQ. I set the defense for us and would help everybody know what was coming from the offense on the field from their tendencies and based off of their formation.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on tendencies of the offense and what plays they like to run out of what formations. I also like to memorize what plays come from different down and distances, such as if they lean heavy on certain plays and become predictable.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My Football IQ, size/strength, and physicality separate me from other linebackers.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to train with a high level speed coach out of Iowa City, Iowa and to become athletic as possible while getting up to 240.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I can play special teams and knowing the game well are strengths that will help me get a shot. Another strength of mine is my strong work ethic and how I will do everything to get my body as ready as possible to play.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch is that I have the size and ability to play at the professional level. My film doesn’t lie and all I need is an opportunity.
