Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had two goals In my final collegiate season, one thing I tried to accomplish was to be a better leader. The upcoming players are the foundations of a program and it is very important for them to understand they are a student first, and an athlete second. Helping the young grow is something that is crucial because it determines the programs success. The second was to be a better football player. Heading into my final year I personally wanted to have my best season possible and I achieved this. I had more sacks and tackled than I had in previous seasons.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I am a player that consistently makes progress. I continue to work hard and this make improvements every year. Although I was an OUA all star this year, I have potential to be much better. I am far from a finished product.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film I tend to focus on my technique. Playing in the trenches is much more then brute strength. Your technique is very important and is often the deciding factor if you will be successful or not. I also pay close attention to an offensive linemen’s tendencies to have a pre snap indication on what he will probably be doing.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My competitive edge is what I believe sets me apart from other prospects. I want to be the best in everything I. It has lead me to be a hard worker with me not giving up in anything until I find success. This is applicable not only in football but also in everything I do in life.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
For this off season, one of my goals is to get more mobile. I feel like strength through mobility is a real statement . Your mobility is what I believe can unlocked your full potential. It can make you faster and even stronger which can translate to a better performance on the field.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
One of my strengths would be my high motor demeanor. I am a high motor play that never takes plays off. This is something that has benefited me because effort will never fails. It is impossible to win every match up but due to effort, I am still able to make plays.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
Whoever gives me an opportunity is going to get a player that’s willing to do anything fly the organization to succeed. I feel like I have the athleticism, and strength to compete with the best in the world and given the opportunity, I will have a chance to display it.
