Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I wanted to become a 4x All American, get an invite to the Senior Bowl, and finish the season with at least 2 tackles all of which I achieved.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I’m a hard worker and I never settle for mediocrity.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I like to examine the location of the ball, my blocking steps, perfect laces, and snapping technique for both game film and practice film. I also study the opposing teams PBR unit to see what kind of rush they run looking for any stunts or picks they might try. I examine the returner and the return the PBR unit will set up whether it be left right or middle. All of this helps be get better each week and prepare for the next opponent.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I have been blocking in a Pro-style scheme for the last 5 years and have been an all American for 4 of those years. This is the biggest learning curve for most guys at the longsnapper position. Giving me an advantage over all snappers in my class and even some free agents.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have already been up to Rutgers to train with Adam Korsak who is an elite punter invited to the Reese’s bowl, I plan on attending the Special Teams U Pro Prep camp in Tampa Bay, Florida, and I will be attending both the NFLPA and the Reese’s Senior bowl games.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a very outgoing person, I’m not hard to talk to or approach, I will soon be commissioned into the United States Army where I will be able to do both the NFL with the Army reserves at the same time giving me a direct line to a community of people that are great examples and heroes in and of themselves, and my work ethic breaking the mold and stereotype of the typical specialist.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
It has always been a dream of mine to play professional football. I haven’t taken the traditional path, but it would make it all that sweeter when I do accomplish my goals. I am an extremely hard worker and will do whatever it takes to make my dream a reality!
