Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

We set goals of winning the MAC and our bowl game. We came up short in the MAC but won the Camellia Bowl, which was an awesome experience. Didn’t have any particular individual goals other than contributing as much as possible to help our team win. Cannot succeed individually without team success so the main focus was on helping the team win games any way I could.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’m a competitor and a leader. I want to win in everything I do and I want to bring my teammates along with me. Building that trust and competitive nature within the team is crucial for us to win games.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching practice, I watch technique and small details to perfect my craft. When watching the opponent, I watch how a defender sheds blocks, what they’re strengths are, and what worked most effectively against them. Then I look at their tendencies and see if I can find any pre snap mannerisms that may help me during the game.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My biggest strength is my ability to block both in the run game and the pass game. I take pride in my ability to block as well as the offensive line and I love to play on special teams. I have an underrated route running and pass catching ability and love to prepare in the film room.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been training at Proformance Sports in Buffalo in preparation for my pro day, NFL local days, and NFL rookie minicamps. I have lost 13 lbs, including 3% body fat and have improved my diet. In addition to TE/FB specific drills, I have focused on change of direction and hip mobility to improve both my route running and blocking.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have a strong knowledge for the game and I want build on that while I’m around the best minds in the game. Whether I play 80 plays a game or give looks on the practice squad, I am looking to contribute in any way possible to help the team that believes in me win.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

The team that bets on me is getting a tough, hardworking, and physical player. I want to contribute on special teams and make plays where I’m needed on the field. I fill whatever role I’m asked to play and do it with great effort and energy day in and day out.
