What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals were to be the best I can be at my position, be productive when I am on the field, and put myself in a position for scouts and others to notice my talents.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I think it benefited me because it gave me another opportunity to showcase my talents one more year. I feel as though I was already coming off of a good spring season making all conference honors and wanted take it a step above that.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am very reliable and hardworking. You can expect me to do my job to the fullest with an extreme amount of effort. They would also say that I am very cooperative and always ready to coach others on the fly and make sure Everyone around me knows what they are doing not just for myself but for the benefit of the team.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I always look at my effort from the first play to the last first to make sure I have it my all the whole game. Second I try to self scout and pick up on any tendencies that I have created that the next team might pick up on and try to correct that for the next game, perhaps learn a new disguise. Lastly I try to pick up on the other teams tendencies so that I know what plays they will have coming and the situations it may come.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel as though I am open to play different positions and do so very well. I feel as though I am a great Strong Safety but my team has needed me to step up and try different positions like FS and at times outside linebacker. I offer the ability to not only play in the box for run support but also cover in the slot if need be.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
First I would like to maintain a healthy diet that will fuel me to work hard for about 4-6 days a week. Secondly my workouts will include weightlifting to advance my speed and agility while also doing position based-work.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am extremely Coachable and can lead a team from day 1. Also I offer the ability to play multiple positions and excel at all of them. I like to model my game similar to Jamal Adams and excel in the box but I also can cover well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I may not come from the biggest most prestigious program, but as a football player I am what an organization needs. I am guy that will come in day 1 and cause a spark that is contagious. I bring a positive attitude, great personality, hard work ethic and exceptional play. I am reliable as they come, And a cornerstone that will help build a franchise for success.
