NFL Draft 2017 Prospect: Ricky Jones

Name: Ricky Jones
College: Indiana
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 185

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Ricky: Aggressive, Adaptable, Drive.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Ricky: I’ve been training all over from Chicago to Miami and now Indiana making sure I get the best training so I’m ready for my pro day.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Ricky: I get asked this question a lot and I’ve decided that I can’t compare my game to anyone else’s. I have a unique style to me, but I’ll leave that up for the fans to guess that.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Ricky: When I’m studying film, I’m always looking at how fast the D-Line is getting after the QB because that allows me to understand how much time I have for routes and what type of routes we will be running that week. Then, I’m looking at burn tape and see what works best against the DB.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Ricky: At the end of the day, the effort I put in on every play separates me from a lot of guys with talent. My mindset makes me different.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Ricky: Like I said in the last question, my effort is not close to anything you see in the average player and it doesn’t stop only on the field, it’s off the field also. I always care about my teammates, so I know if I mess up outside of football it will affect the team, so I keep that in mind always.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Ricky: My final pitch would be, “There isn’t one player in this draft that has the heart and desire to play every play like I play. Every play I play like it’s my last time being on that field.”
