Name: Kristian Wilson
College: Bowie State
Position: Defensive Back
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 180
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Kristian: Passionate, Fast, and Confident.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Kristian: I’m training for a NFL Regional Combine and hopefully Pro Day by training with Perfect Performance in the DC metropolitan area. I’m training 5 days out the week focusing on lifting, position drills, and speed training.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Kristian: I compare myself to Tyrann Mathieu (Cardinals) because of his passion for the game of football. I also compare myself to Jason Verrett (Chargers) because of his press man technique and quick foot work.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Kristian: When studying film I look for WRs alignments, favorite formations, favorite route combinations, and also hand signals. I’m able to break down WRs favorite releases (release outside a lot/inside release).
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Kristian: What separates me from others at my position is my make up speed, my ability to read routes mid play (I have a good feel for WRs routes) and also my hunger to be a better player and correct mistakes instantly.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Kristian: My athleticism would stick up from the rest of the pack and my ambition. Off the field my kind personality and a person that can get a long with anyone.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Kristian: My final pitch would be that if you put me on the field right now against your best WR on the team I would make more plays on him than any CB/DB on the team. I’m confident in my abilities and I know I’m the best DB prospect coming from a small school.
Highlight tape is nice and shows his speed. Wonder what his 40 yard dash time is.
